Inspect and edit PSD files in your browser

Runs entirely on your device. Zero Cloud Uploads

Drop your PSD file here

or select a Photoshop document from your computer

Files up to 50 MiB, 4096 px per side and 300 layers. For supported RGB PSD files; complex documents may be read-only. Check compatibility.

A quick look. A small edit. An image to share.

Open a design someone sent you without installing Photoshop. Keep the original PSD on your device.

Your file stays on your device

Your graphics and assets never leave your computer. Parsing and rasterization occur entirely in memory within your browser.

Selective Text Editing

Modify typography in supported text layers. Unsupported formatting remains strictly read-only with transparent warnings.

Download a PNG or JPG

Export the current preview as a flat image. PNG keeps available transparency; JPEG uses a white background.

Know what you can change

Viewing a file does not mean every effect can be edited. Unsupported documents stay read-only rather than losing parts of the design.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about opening and editing Photoshop files online.

How does EditPico open PSD files without Photoshop?

EditPico reads the PSD with a JavaScript parser running in a separate browser worker. It displays the saved preview and layer information locally. Complex files may stay read-only or be rejected if their format or size is unsupported.

Is my proprietary PSD file uploaded to any server?

No file upload is needed. The editor loads its processing code when you first open a file, then processes your PSD locally. Website assets still require a connection until they have loaded; this is not an installable offline app.

Why are some text layers or layer effects marked as read-only?

This lightweight editor does not reproduce every Photoshop feature. Masks, advanced blending, smart objects and complex text layouts can require a different rendering engine. When a document cannot be safely changed, the workbench explains why and keeps it read-only.

Can I export my modifications back to a .PSD file?

No. This version exports flat PNG and JPEG images only. Keep your original PSD if you need to continue editing its layers in Photoshop.

What file size limits apply?

The editor checks file size, dimensions, layer count and the total pixel budget before decoding. A small compressed file can still be expensive to open. Files outside the supported limits are rejected with a readable explanation; available memory also depends on your device.

Edit Layer Text

Text edits use a browser font substitute. Letter spacing, line breaks and appearance may differ from Photoshop. Check the preview before exporting.
